Bright Tomorrows - Tulsa, Oklahoma

Bright Tomorrows We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Tulsa, Oklahoma composed of clergy, mental health professionals, individuals with mental health concerns and their family members. We are dedicated to reflecting the compassion of Jesus Christ by promoting mental health and assisting those struggling with mental illness toward a healing-recovery lifestyle. We are interdenominational in nature, and respect the diversity of faith traditions within the unity of Christianity.

Our goals are to …

  • Mobilize churches to meet mental health needs
  • Network churches and community resources to better meet mental health needs
  • Encourage one another and provide spiritual support to individuals and families struggling with mental illness

Our primary in-the-field ministry is carried forward by our Bright Tomorrow’s President and his wife Nancy. Their work and ministry is volunteered. Tim has successfully coped with the chronic mental health challenge of Bipolar Disorder since 1979. As a couple they joined the Bright Tomorrows ranks in 2001 with Tim named Executive Director. In January of 2009, Tim was installed by the BT Board as its President. Tim is an ordained minister who has spent over forty years in church-related pastoral work and ministry. Nancy is respected for her practical wisdom and much loved for her sensitive expressions of compassion as one who has spent years helping her husband, and other family members, to first survive and then monitor and manage their mental health related challenges in healthy ways.
