Stories of Healing and Hope: PTSD, Trauma and Suicide features three shows.
Stories of Healing and Hope: PTSD, Trauma and Suicide features three shows produced by Mental Health Ministries to help educate faith communities to be caring congregations for persons living with a mental illness and those who love and care for them. With the many natural disasters and other tragic events that have happened in our country, the recent attention to sexual harassment and PTSD among persons serving in the military, and the increasing number of suicides occurring for a variety of different reasons, this resource will help congregations care and support persons affected by these events.
The DVD includes:
Out of the Ashes: Transforming Trauma
Two families share their stories of how they coped with the trauma of loss of life and loss of their homes in a firestorm. They share how their faith communities helped them to begin the long road back to healing and hope.
PTSD: Healing and Hope

Suicide and Healing After the Death of a Loved One
An inspirational couple, who lost their son to suicide, shares the story of how their faith community supported them and how they have used their painful experience to reach out to others.
